ZED ZONE console commands

ZED ZONE has a built-in console. The developer documents one command for it, additem, as a way for modders to test items. Players have listed more over the years, but those lists date from 2023 to 2025.

  • Press ` (backtick, the key left of 1) to open the console.
  • Type additem and an item ID, e.g. additem 100.
  • Console use disqualifies you from the launch leaderboard event.

How to open the ZED ZONE console

  1. In game, press the backtick key `, the key left of 1 on US layouts. Official Player guides call it the ~ key: same key, since ~ is Shift+`. Players report
  2. Type a command and press Enter. Players report

additem: spawn any item by ID

additem 100

The developer’s MOD manual says to “press ` then additem <itemId>” to test an item. Official additem 100 gives you 12 gauge shells. Every ID is on the item ID list, where each row has a copy button. Mod items get their own IDs from 100000 up. Official

These come from player guides written for 2023 and 2025 builds. They are not in any official document, and the game has changed a lot since. Test before relying on them. Unverified

Clothing was reported to live at IDs 10000–15000 with gaps; the official table confirms clothing in that range (for example 10040, the EXS-MK1 exoskeleton). Official

When not to use it

  • Using console commands disqualifies you from the 1.0 Horde Mode leaderboard event. Official See Horde Mode.
  • The store lists no Steam achievements, so there are none to lose. Official
  • In co-op, ask the host first; spawned items go into a shared world.

Third-party trainers and cheat tables are not covered here.

What players actually use the console for

  • Replacing a lost key item. A player who misplaced the malfunctioning CAS module was pointed to additem, since the working module needs the old one. Players report
  • Testing mods. This is the use the developer documents. Official
  • Getting past a bug. If a lab computer or quest item was destroyed by NPCs, spawning a replacement can save the run; report the bug too. Unverified

Some Chinese players say the console tempts them into spawning everything and spoils the challenge. If that is you, keep it for bugs only.
