How do I get a dog in ZED ZONE?
Find a dog cage at a Scavenger Camp, such as the one at the Abandoned Station, and hold F to rescue it. Details →
Can my pet die?
No. At zero health it falls unconscious and wakes on its own; a bandage wakes it sooner. Hunger slows it but never kills it. Details →
How big can the dog saddlebag get?
The Saddlebag skill gives 6×8, 8×10 and 10×12 slots at levels 1, 2 and 3. Details →
How do I hire companions?
Build a Comms Station to hire characters other players uploaded, or recruit neutral survivors you meet. Check their gear before paying. Details →
How do I revive a downed companion?
Hold F for 3 seconds within 30 seconds of them going down. If you have companions, they will come to revive you too. Details →
Why do NPCs break into my base?
Before late October 2026 NPCs searched containers near bases. That stopped in Beta 0.9.99.9.1; you can also turn off Online Wanderers in settings. Details →
Why are survivors hostile to me?
Some survivors turn hostile on approach or after trading. Check the marker (red is hostile) and holster your weapon if you want to talk. Details →
